Robin Wilson

Robin was awarded a scholarship to the Moseley School of Art in Birmingham, England. He continued his studies at the Central University of England with an additional 2 years at Shrewsbury College of Art England.

Since moving to Queensland in 1989, Robin had many successful exhibitions. He is now exhibiting, selling, and doing commissions regularly out of Aspire Gallery in Paddington, Qld.

Specialties are Acrylic, Watercolour, Pen and wash, and pastel. Robin will teach all aspects of perspective drawing and composition to ensure you achieve the best possible result for your artwork.

Kat Christensen

Kathryn has a BA in Fine Arts and a Certificate in Visual Arts. She has a keen eye for detail and enjoys tutoring and encouraging creativity and bringing the best out of her students.

You are in the best hands to start your creative journey. Drawing is the foundation of all artistic creations.

Kat is currently taking time out for TAFE studies.

Amanda Hill

Amanda is an award-winning visual artist creating, exhibiting, and selling her work for over 30 years. She attended the Queensland College of Art in the 1980s, studying a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Communication and later attended Griffith University earning her Bachelor of Education (Primary) where she undertook electives in Visual Arts.

Amanda regularly takes on private commissions and is a qualified teacher currently employed as a Primary Art teacher at The Southport School on the Gold Coast.

Amanda has worked with a variety of mediums including pastel, coloured pencil, graphite, watercolour and pen, acrylic and gouache and she is constantly striving for excellence in her painting and drawing and enjoys learning new techniques and styles.

Amanda is a member of the Pastel Society of Australia, the National Association of Visual Arts, the Queensland Art Teachers Association and the Royal Queensland Art Society.

Svetlana Prokhorova

Svetlana Prokhorova is a Brisbane-based artist, born in Russia, and immigrated to Australia in 2010. 

She completed a Master of Fine Art in 2021-22 and a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2019-20 at the National Art School in Sydney, NWS.

As an Art tutor, she promotes the importance of the fundamental drawing and colour theory in art education. Svetlana has experience in art tutoring for teenagers and adults.  She is an exhibiting artist and a finalist of national art awards and prizes.

Svetlana has a blue card which allows her to work with children and has created drawings workshops for teenagers.

Marion Hughes

Marion has been an artist for more than 30 years and has been successfully exhibiting her work both in Australia and abroad. As well as being a much sought-after Tutor, she has also gained notoriety with her artworks both in Australia and abroad.

She loves passing her knowledge of watercolour to others and especially enjoys introducing beginners to the watercolour medium.

A regular and popular tutor at Camp Creative, held in Bellingen, NSW every January, has made her aware of her love of tutoring, Now living on Russell Island, she has joined the Redland Coast Art Society to hopefully introduce classes and workshops regularly.

Marion is one of four artists to represent Australia in a Malaysian on Line art exhibition in 2023/24.

Chez Andrews

Known as Too Crafty, a dedicated Crafter well-recognized in the Cricut Crafting community in Queensland.

She introduced the first Cricut classes in Queensland, which had a significant impact on various Spotlight and Harvey Norman stores in Brisbane. She was the ambassador for Cricut in Australia for 2.5 years.

She teaches and inspires her students to become comfortable with their Cricut machines.

Her motto is "Craft is my passion, Sharing it is my Joy," a sentiment that shines through when she is teaching.

Julia Hahn

Julia’s love of Art Journaling began over ten years ago when she attended an inspiring one-day workshop.

Over the years, Julia immersed herself in the world of paints, stencils, and mixed media, building a collection of hundreds of resources—paints in every shade, journals of all sizes, stamps, inks, and embellishments.

Art journaling for Julia is a way to express her colourful personality, explore her inner world, and connect with a community of like-minded individuals. This creative journey only deepens, and she remains eager to share her knowledge with anyone willing to pick up a brush and join in the fun.

Oxana Arefin

Oxana Arefin is a professional psychologist and artist with over 30 years of experience in the field.

She hosts and creates workshops in art therapy, image consulting, and body therapy.

The Mandala workshop is an exclusive program that opens new paths for problem-solving, transforms the state of the soul and mind and provides answers to your questions.

Every brushstroke serves as a step on your journey and self-expression.

Julie McSpedden

Julie McSpedden is a dedicated artist and educator with over 10 years of teaching experience, specializing in Visual Arts. Her passion for printmaking began more than 20 years ago during her studies at RMIT University in Melbourne, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Printmaking. After completing her degree, Julie pursued a Diploma of Education in Primary and Secondary Teaching, driven by a love of teaching and a desire to inspire creativity in others.

Julie’s approach to teaching embraces exploration over perfection, creating a welcoming space where students of all ages can delve into their artistic identities. She believes in nurturing a sense of play and curiosity, allowing students to have fun and freely express themselves without the pressure of flawless outcomes. With a deep commitment to fostering creativity, Julie encourages her students to explore, experiment, and find joy in the process of making art.

Dr Katia Strounina

Katia is an award-winning visual artist who works in a variety of mediums, including drawing, woodblock printing, wood carving, sculpture, watercolour and oil painting. She attended an art college in Russia in the 1980s and later continued her art

Dr. Katia Strounina is an award-winning visual artist who works in various mediums, including drawing, woodblock printing, wood carving, sculpture, watercolor, and oil painting. She studied at an art college in Russia during the 1980s and later pursued her art education in Australia through private lessons.

Katia is a member of the Sculptors Queensland Association, the Queensland Wildlife Artists Association, and the Royal Queensland Art Society.

In her teaching, Katia combines a solid understanding of fundamental techniques with a modern approach. She fosters a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all her students.

Lianne Counsell

Lianne (aka Li) has a BA in Contemporary Arts, Grad Dip Ed, Diploma in Transpersonal Art Therapies and a Cert Applied Art Interior Decoration. For 15 years she delivered interior design solutions to project home builders and since has developed and facilitated a diversity of arts programs in Victoria and Queensland and has been teaching in schools.

Lianne has a passion for recognising the needs of community and pioneering creative solutions through workshops and programmes. She is a practising artist and has produced and sold works across the fields of performing and visual arts. She is interested in offering inclusive environments that support everyone, despite their perceived abilities, to access their creativity through joyful experimentation. Although art can be a serious business, she finds that success often comes when we can relax, play, laugh and follow what we love. She has a deep connection to nature and often works intuitively through inspired teaching.

As part of a trio, Lianne was responsible for the development of the Coochiemudlo Artisan Collective in 2019 and was the president of this organization in 2022/2023.

From the time that she won some bike lights in the Corinella colouring competition offered by the Melbourne Sun newspaper at the age of 7 she has been jumping into all forms of self-expression through the arts whilst bringing others along for the ride.

Sarina Cardillo

Sarina Cardillo is an experienced artist and independent Stamping’ Up! demonstrator with over 25 years in resin art, acrylic painting, and oil painting.

For seven years, she has taught card-making classes, sharing her passion for crafting.

Sarina is dedicated to inspiring creativity and promoting the joy of handmade art.
